ATTENTION: HONDA SHADOW OWNERS.

Dear Shadow Owner,

The Honda Shadow Home Page has always got a very warm reception, 
and I appreciate the need to keep it going, if not to unite us,
then to show the world our beautiful bikes.

At present the pages are OUT OF SPACE, and that is the reason some 
of you are still waiting to see your pictures on the Owners Page.

I have been informed more space is available, but it will cost more
than the monthly rate for the 10 megabytes we currently have.

It is with expansion in mind that I write to ask for your support.
This support can take many forms:

   * If you have space on your server, for some pages and their 
     pictures please let me know, and I will (ftp) transfer (upload) 
     to that area, and adjust links accordingly. The browser might not 
     notice the remote link, as the page will be in the same format
     as all the rest.

   * Cash donations will be used to buy additional space on our current 
     server. You don't need to dig deep, a little, when collected can 
     be enough. Please send any small amount you can readily spare to:

   - As an added incentive, and to recognise / identify those who have 
     supported the pages, those that offer support will have an honorary 
     mention as the Promoters of appropriate pages (at the top of that 
     page), as it is their support that kept the pages on-line. I think 
     that's only fair. Alternatively we could put up a Shadow Support Page, 
     where those who have supported the page get to promote themselves. 
     Possibly this will appeal more to businesses than individuals, but 
     all support is welcomed / needed.

If we DO go commercial (ie. over 10 mb), I would also be interested in 
hearing from INDIVIDUALS or COMPANIES, who would like to advertise, be it, 
with banners or other means. So, if you represent a company, and you think 
advertising on the Shadow Home Page would be good for business, please,
let me know.

The funds received will go to maintaining the page, and keeping it where
it has been for almost 2 years.

Ps. Meanwhile, I have been trying my best to contact Honda USA and Japan
    to discuss some sort of support, and have just heard that they have 
    received the communication, but no reaction yet. I hope they are 
    discussing our future as we speak.

Please note: I hate to have to ask for this help, but as I am becoming a 
             teacher soon, and as such, will have free internet access, 
             but will lose the server space at "Vortex" for the 
             Honda Shadow Home Page.

             If you feel that the pages are worth having on-line, please 
             help in any way you can, and let me know how you feel when you
             write in. Sincere enthusiasm from you always helps me justify
             spending my money for your pleasure.

28.08.97     It has just been pointed out to me, that, even if server space
             is provided, I will have to hire someone at the server to 
             maintain the page. So funds are needed more than just server 
             space. Let me know what you think.
